Day 2 of my Juice-say!

C’mon say it with me, “You so juice-SAY!”

We now return you to our regularly scheduled blogram.
***
Wow, hit the sack way earlier than usual yesterday. Had a lot of emotional issues hit me in the face before I went to bed. Was it the savory juice? Was it detox a la emotional? (I’ve been warned about this, but am prepared.) So I went to bed and read from the book “How can I help you.” Seemed to be serendipitous. Felt some gratitude for that. Read about this guy who decided to go help out in hospitals for children who were sick. He saw some horrible things but he found that if he could look into the eyes and into the heart, the very scary things he saw somehow disappeared as he talked to their little spirits. I know, I know! Waterworks! :*) My old battle scars faded instantly after reading this.

Woke up way early. Way early. Felt great, got caught up on bloglines. (Love reading your stories.) Had 2 huge glasses of aqua with some Celtic salt thrown in. Felt recharged after drinking it. Made my juices for the day. Spinach and orange, and straight watermelon with rind. Wow. Lots of juice-say all over the counters. LOL! Good thing I’m waking up early, as this does take some time.
Other thoughts…about an hour and a half. That’s how much one of those little jars of joy gives me, as far as energy goes. When you hit the wall, you hit the wall. I mean, I still have energy, but it’s my reserve. I made the mistake of not bringing one of those jars to the garden and was draggin’ towards the end. Came home and had the spinach orange juice and perked right up.

Went to the Farmer’s Market. Felt so much love for everyone, almost as if each person was beautiful and funny at the same time. So much diversity, so many vehicles for thought! It all came so easily which was very interesting.

Took a little nap without really sleeping, just felt super floaty and magnetic. It’s hard to describe but the watermelon made me feel like I had a north and south magnetic lines running outside of my body. Well, I felt so great. Swimming in uncharted territory for me. Oh, I also noticed as I laid there that my feet would get cold, then warm up. So glad I’m doing this in the summer!

Soaked some dried goji’s in water, 1 cup goji, 4 cups water, soaked most of the day. Strained the berries out. Drank it down. Seriously, felt completely awesome after this. I’ve read you can get two soaks out of dried raisins, so I’m assuming it’s the same for gojis.
WOW I FEEL SO GREAT NOW!! Where’s HiHoRosie? I NEED A KISS!

OK you got through all that, here is the quote for the day!

Attitude is more important than facts.
It is more important than the past, than education than money, than circumstances, than failures, than success,
than what other people think or say or do.
It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill.
It will make or break a company.a home. a relationship.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice, every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for the day.
We cannot change our past. We cannot change the fact that other people will act in a certain way.
We cannot change the inevitable.
The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude.
I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90 % how I react to it.

  • I am so excited to follow along on your juice feast. I am hoping to do a shorter one in the 100-day raw fu challenge, so …. your blog will definitely be helpful.

  • That looks so delicious. I’ve got to try the gogi soak.

  • Those juice-says look delicious! Try watermelon/strawberry and watermelon/raspberry. They are great! I had to do those in the blender then strain, cause the juicer made mush out of the berries.
    Rock-it baby!

  • That goji juice sounds awesome! At Omar;s raw restaurant in SLC he makes some kind of goji lemonaid with ginger, lemon juice and soaked goji water and it’s out of this world!! I will have to try it now you started the inspiration.

  • Fab Sam!! I could feel your energy coming through in your post.

Thanks for that quote. I really needed it today. I realized over the weekend that my attitude has been pretty bad the last couple of weeks. And I totally needed an adjustment!

  • Wow, I’m amazed how much the goji’s grew in the water, well sort of and sort of not!! I can’t wait to try that myself and drink the juice. Totally love the pic with the watermelon juice and green juice jars all lined up, they look so yummy I want to reach in and grab all of them! ;)
