Sacred Playlist

Wow

I have been really enjoying my latest foray into wild, vital foods. Some of what I try to do everyday is to eat something that is growing outside. I do this as a sort of dietary supplement, to get rare vitamins, minerals and enzymes into my diet. I’ve really been feeling the benefits as well.

Lately, my newest living foods hero, in phase II of my journey is Dr. Gabriel Cousens. Probably because he is so interested in being a holistic health AND spiritual healer, as opposed to a charismatic type raw foodist who wants to sell his wares or story. I’m glad for the former just because it is a good way to get into the lifestyle, but on a deeper level, I feel one must find a muse if one is going to find the path to health. That being said, I offer a link to one of the best interviews I’ve found online with Dr. Gabriel Cousens, enjoy!

    Beautiful photo!

I love Dr. Cousens. Are you following his rainbow green diet? I tried it not that long ago, but I felt like my entire vibrational energy dropped really low. Many long-term raw foodies told me I shouldn't have started off on Phase 1 since my body was already so clean after being raw for a few years. Phase 2 felt better, but I kept wanting more fruit so I stopped. Someday I might try it again, starting with Phase 2, just to see how my body feels on it. He's a brilliant doctor and I admire all the research he has done. But, just so you know...he's quite charasmatic, as well. ;-)

I'm looking forward to hearing more about your continued raw journey.

    Lots of love to you,

    Wendi

    Thanks Wendi,
What I like about Cousens, especially in the interview is that he says that everyone is different. He looks at the big picture and doesn't push the latest flavor of the week so to speak. Also, while you may feel that he is charismatic, to me he's just a more mature and balanced, a little more calm. I like that.

I was giggling when I wrote that he's charismatic, because he really is on a completely different level than others who have a following. When I wrote my comment, Jim saw it and said many people think of "charismatic" in a negative way. In Cousens' case I could never see it used that way. ;-)

Cousens is remarkable, in my opinion, because he takes ancient wisdom (some of which is considered mystical) and modern medical/scientific knowledge, mixes them up a bit, and then processes them through his keen sense of intuition coupled with experimentation. I think he's brilliant---and what he's done for diabetes is incredible and will make the history books, I'm sure.

I totally agree about him being mature, balanced, and calm. He has a peace about him that radiates at least a foot outside of his body. When he was speaking at RSF last year, I was touched by how filled with emotion he is. I loved him instanly (same as I loved you instantly!).

You didn't say if you are going to be eating according to the Rainbow Green phases, or not. If you are, I hope you'll share with us how it's going for you.

    Thanks Wendi...

I'm waiting for the books to arrive...I'll let you know how it goes. He does resonate strongly with me right now, his words, his videos, so I'm really excited about this.

My guess is that I will end up doing some sort of modified RGP's as I discover it.

    All my best..

    Sam
