ARG!
No I’m not practicing to be a pirate! What I am is,… busier than heck at Mardi Gras! lol I’m looking at my little boy, swinging in the swing, he’s looking up at me and wondering…why the heck aren’t you holding me? Well he was just fed, pampered and so it’s chill time. We’re listening to Yiruma together, great piano music!
So this is a blog about my raw transformation right? Well lately I haven’t been practicing anything but plant based. I’d rather have you think that I have just finished PHASE 1 and now am in a reflective position, almost ready to start PHASE 2. This is planned and a part of my process, I haven’t “jumped ship” or “hit the wall”. I love the raw lifestyle and am excited for the next part of my journey.

That’s not to say that I’ve put learning about healthy food on hold! I’ve continued to feel and understand so much more about what it is to be healthy. Physically, emotionally, spiritually. So often people focus on one aspect and can’t figure out why things aren’t working!
Balance, acceptance and understanding of others and myself, is going to help out a lot in phase 2 of my raw journey.

No more ruts. Good night, did I say how sick I am of smoothies? I think I’m actually allergic to bananas because after a fruit smoothie, I get congested and sneeze! Who knows. I’d much rather have a nice sprouted granola with hemp milk. So stay tuned, I’m super busy right now but there are some amazing things in the works!
Time to hold my baby now!

Yardy, I'm doing a liver cleanse via Tree of Life and one of the first things the MD suggested, after reviewing my medical history and typical diet, was to eliminate bananas ..due to their high glycemic index (or something like that). I'm no expert, but also, apparently the more we eat something (without some time of rest in between), the more we can build up an intolerance (or something like that). It's late, so I'm only half here, but had to chime in with a bit of “you're not alone” support. And I'm off green smothies and inhaling salads instead (or when eating out, lightly sauteed greens, if I need a little warmth). Keep on keeping on, taking breaks as you need.

Hi there, Sam!
I was just saying to Jim yesterday that I think you are super busy caring for the baby, since you don't update very often. What a wonderful time in your life, having a newborn!!
I've been doing mini-monomeals for a couple of days and I'm feeling much more energetic. It's easier to notice how different foods affect me when I eat this way, too. I hope you aren't having a problem with bananas. I can't imagine life without bananas, not because I love them so much but because they are filling, convenient, and inexpensive.
Yes, it really is a whole person journey we are on…it's definitely not only about the food. In fact, I think food is a very small part of it (even if it seems to be the only aspect in the beginning).
I'm sending lots of love to you, Heidi, and Caleb…
Wendi
XOXOXO
THanks so much ID! I think you are right! Sometimes convenience just gets in the way of balance, your words mean a lot!
Sam
THanks so much Wendi! I'm interested and following your mono-meal plan. I am having a little trouble with bananas, mainly in the boredom department lol! ;D I loved watching your last video..out proselytizing the masses! WAY TO GO!
Take care Sam. Have fun with Little Sprout!
I didnt' keep up with the mono-meals because I was headed out of town and wanted to have richer foods. I'm going to work back into the mini-monomeals, though, because I feel so much better when I eat that way.
*giggles* Yep, that was me…preaching to the masses.
Lots of love to you,
Wendi
XOXOXO
Miss you. Now I don't even know where I live so I can't go stalk you down. I am still recovering from a cold but I suppose I'm well enough to to infect Sprout. Time for me to come see you three.
I get sick of bananas too. I'm down to one a day after a break from them which suits me just fine. I much prefer berries.
You are so sweet! You can always stalk me on FB! I had a couple bananas the other day, tasted like baby food. Weird!
Maybe baby food tastes like bananas. Isn't little spout too young for that? Or is he growing at super-fast speed due to raw foods and super foods? Are you feeding him goji berries?
haha, no not feeling him goji's, but he is made out of kale smoothies and raw hemp protein powder! Oh yea, and coconut! When he is ready for soft food, he's going to do avacado and banana together, I hear babies love that combo.
